Harvey Group were responsible for the installation of the mechanical and electrical services at the new research and development facility in Newtownabbey.
The new facility, which complements Sensata’s existing manufacturing site in Antrim, is a purpose built research and development space, and office accommodation for their engineering, software development, and services employees.
Electrical services included general and emergency lighting, fire alarm and assistance call system, high voltage consumer transformer and cabling, low voltage switchgear and submains cabling, photovoltaic system, and EV charging system.
Mechanical services included specialist gas systems, corrosion resistant ventilation systems for specialist areas, CAT5 and emergency eye wash systems to laboratory areas, and boosted cold water and thermal storage for DHW. A full 3D Revit coordination was utilised for all services.
