Harvey Group have successfully completed the Development, Installation and Commissioning of the Mechanical and Electrical Services.
City Quays 2 is the second phase of the 10-hectare City Quays development in Belfast Harbour and offers a Grade A managed office block with coffee shop at ground floor and car parking.
At 9 stories high and almost 9,000m2 floor area, the development offers a flexible working space augmented by a sustainable design and installation.
Mechanical Services installed include Air Conditioning, Chilled Water, LTHW Heating System, Gas installation, Domestic Services, Soils & Wastes, Sanitary Ware, Ventilation & associated ductwork and a packaged plantroom installed on the roof.

Electrical Services involved installation of Data / Structured Cabling system, Fire Alarm, Access Control & Intercom, Intruder Alarm, CCTV, Facilities for the disabled, Small power & Low Voltage Switchgear & distribution throughout.
Rainwater Harvesting & Energy Efficient LED lighting was installed under the M&E contract and significantly contributed towards the building achieving a BREEAM rating of “Excellent”.
Well done to all the team involved in making this project a success!

Harvey Group are happy to announce the completion of The North Foreshore Studios situated at Dargan landfill site, Belfast. We started on the studio’s back in June 2016 with successful handover achieved earlier this month.
Belfast Harbour Film Studio's features 120,000 sq. ft. of studio space, workshops and offices. The film studio takes up 8 acres of the overall 340-acre site. The new studio complex provides two sound-proofed studios as part of an overall site that also caters for outdoor filming.
The building will be Occupied by global film production companies for Productions such as HBO's colossal Game of Thrones.
Working alongside builders, O’Hare & McGovern, Harvey Group were responsible for the mechanical & electrical services installation. Eamon O’Hare, Director at OHMG said;
“O’Hare & McGovern is delighted to be part of such a major scheme, especially at a time when the profile of the film and drama industry in Northern Ireland is at an all-time high; This is one of the most exciting developments ever undertaken by the company”

The New Marriott Hotel, Belfast, part of the City Quays development, is starting to take shape. Harvey Group are currently engaged in pre-construction activities with an installation & completion date of January 2018.
The hotel will be Marriott International’s first in Northern Ireland, joining the company’s portfolio of nearly 4,500 hotels located in 87 countries and territories around the world.
The four-star AC Hotel by Marriott Belfast will include 188 rooms, restaurant, bar/lounge, fitness facilities and meeting rooms. The new hotel will reflect the AC Hotels by Marriott brand vision to create contemporary hotel experiences through modern and purposeful design.
This new Hotel is part of a major redevelopment of the City Quay’s area and is situated beside the B2 Offices, which Harvey Group are also engaged.

Gilbert Ash were appointed as contractor for the construction element of this £25m project.
Ray Hutchinson, managing director of Gilbert-Ash, said:
“City Quays Hotel represents one of the largest contracts that we have worked on in Northern Ireland in recent years, with a project value of £22m, and we are excited to commence work on site. We know that the finished property will be a welcome new addition to the local leisure accommodation offering, particularly at a time when demand for beds is at an all-time high.
There are a number of major construction projects under way in Belfast at the moment which will substantially change the face of the city in the coming year. Few buildings are able to capitalise on a view over the River Lagan and we think that this hotel and its riverside terrace will allow locals and tourists alike to enjoy one of the city’s greatest assets.”
Harvey Group have a long-standing relationship with Gilbert Ash and are working alongside them on various other projects throughout the UK such as; Royal College of Pathology London and Sevenoaks School - New Science, Technology & Sixth Form Centre in Kent.
